We all have vices and addictions. Some hide them better than others, and some wear them with pride. When the addiction becomes damaging to ourselves or those close to us, it's understandable that those affected may need to remove themselves from the situation and love the afflicted from afar. This song is my love letter to one of those afflicted, who I will always wish the best for.
lyrics
The alcohol is strong
Mistress whose shoes I can't fill
She doesn't love you as much as I do, and I do
I thought I could be strong
But my arms can't lift this load
Pray for you with tears and hope God hears
He loves you more than I do
I sure tried my best, He'll do the rest
I tried my best
Tried my best
I wish you peace
I wish you love
I wish you rest
I wish you all my best
All my best
